We are supporting a seeking a specialist provision in their search for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who is a reflective practitioner and aims to drive the school into its next phase of development. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a collaborative school vision of excellence and equality.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high standards of classroom practice including planning, teaching, assessment, and reporting.
  • Set and monitor high expectations for student achievement and wellbeing.
  • Use data effectively to track and monitor student progress.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of learning outcomes and teaching strategies.
  • Lead the development of the curriculum and teaching materials that cater to the needs of the students.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Manage a team of teaching assistants and work collaboratively with other staff to meet students’ needs.
  • Engage in community and liaison activities, including open days and parent/carer events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a SEND Teacher or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the PMLD field and commitment to innovative teaching approaches.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate performance data to enhance student learning.
