We are looking for a passionate and empathetic Speech, Language, and Communication Teaching Assistant to provide essential support in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support the delivery of speech and language therapy programs.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) or in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards student development.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in speech and language therapy or special education are desirable.
