emedy Tutors are looking for an experienced SEN/SEND tutor to work with two students who require home tuition from September.

Role Overview:The two students are twins and both have SEN/SEND with EHCP's. They require 2 hours a day of tuition, 10 hours per week from September and would be an ongoing long term role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in English and Maths
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans that address each student's strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to make learning engaging and accessible.
  • Track and report on student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related subject (e.g., a degree in English, Maths, Science, Education, or equivalent).
  • Experience in tutoring and working with SEN/SEND
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and exam requirements for English and Maths.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with SEN/SEND and strategies to support diverse learners.
