My client, a growing family business, prides themselves on maintaining their customers heavy goods vehicle fleets that are essential to the operations. They are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join their team and ensure their vehicles are in top condition.

As an HGV Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy goods vehicles to ensure they are operating at peak performance and in compliance with safety standards. You will work closely with the team of technicians to troubleshoot, repair, and prevent vehicle breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • 5 years minimum proven experience as an HGV Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of various brands HGV systems and components.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • HGV 2 License would be preferable but not essential
