Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, has been awarded several new substation, overhead line, and subsea cable route projects across the North of Scotland for their key client, SSEN. As part of this new venture, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Agent to join an established team working on Beauly substation.

This vital initiative aims to enhance the UK's electrical infrastructure, and we are seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to its success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Operations Management:
    • Lead and manage site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Project Planning:
    • Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and methodologies.
  • Team Coordination:
    • Coordinate with Project Managers, Sub Agents, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Oversight:
    • Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring all work complies with project specifications and standards.
  • Site Inspections and Audits:
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits, maintaining high standards of quality control.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies:
    • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on-site.
  • Progress Monitoring:
    • Monitor project progress and proactively address any issues or delays.
  • Communication:
    • Facilitate effective communication between the site team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Proven experience as a Site Agent or in a similar senior supervisory role within large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and project management.
    • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
  • Certifications:
    • A valid CSCS card and relevant health and safety certifications.
  • Multitasking Ability:
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
