We are looking for a SQL Database Engineer to join our clients growing team of Business Intelligence and Software Developers. Your role will be remote with bimonthly team meetings at their office near Exeter, Devon.
Currently going through a period of growth with developing softwares to commercialise, they are looking for a Database Engineer who can assist in re-engineering their current database to make it fit for future growth and integrating with API’s.
About the Database Engineer role
The core of your role will be involved in:
- Database design - specifying, designing and maintaining mechanisms for storing and accessing data.
- Data Engineering - designing, building, operationalising, securing and monitoring data pipelines and data stores.
- Data Modelling and Design - developing models and diagrams to represent and communicate data requirements and data assets.
Nice to have experience:
- Database Administration - installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining and improving the performance of databases and data stores.
- Data Management - developing and implementing plans, policies, and practices that control, protect and optimise the value of data assets.
Key skills and technologies:
- SQL
- MS Azure
- ETL - Azure Data Factory, SSIS or similar
- Good DAX knowledge due to increasing use of this
- Azure Data Factory (though they are moving to Microsoft Fabric)
- You will need great communication and articulation skills

- 45,000 per annum basic salary
