We are searching for an experienced Draughtsperson / Project Manager to join a leading company within the structural steel industry. Our client specialises in balustrades, staircases, balconies; they are looking for a talented professional to work in their drawing office, producing detailed drawings, manage projects and ensure seamless delivery from concept to completion.


Responsible to:

  • Drawing Office Manager
  • Managing Directors

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor
  • Produce general arrangement drawings (GAs) for client approval and project planning
  • Conduct site surveys and attend client meetings to gather requirements and produce project specification
  • Collaborate with the workshop and installation team to ensure smooth production and on-site executions
  • Oversee the project timeline and budgets
  • Prepare Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) to maintain compliance
  • Use of internal systems to order materials and generate monthly project valuations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as Draughtsperson / Project Manager
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks or Tekla Structures
  • Extensive experience in steel fabrication, architectural metal work and construction
  • Ability to read, interpret and produce technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent project communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and internal teams
  • Full UK driving license

Additional Information

Employment Type:Permanent / Full Time

Working Hours:Monday to Thursday 7am to 5pm, Friday 7am to 4pm

Remuneration:£45,000 to £55,000 per annum
