Assistant Management Accountant

Your new companyHays are pleased to be working closely with one of our key clients in the Fife area to support in their requirement for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the existing finance team on an initial 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. This organisation are known on a local, national and international scale with several different entities that provide key services within their specialist area. This role will be working closely with the Management Accountant, alongside a wider team, operating on a full time basis with hybrid working arrangements.Your new roleIn your new role, you will be taking a proactive lead in supporting with the preparation of management accounts including accruals, prepayments and journal entries; as well as providing advice and addressing queries from internal stakeholders on financials. This position will give someone exposure to being part of the budgeting and forecasting process for the different entities, including adopting an analytical review approach to these processes.What you'll need to succeedTo succeed, you will be a motivated finance professional who is actively looking to apply or progress their skills within management accounting; this role will suit someone who is actively studying towards their formal accountancy qualification or can demonstrate previous experience working on management accounts. You will be interested in securing an initial fixed term contract with an organisation that consistently adopts positive change and process improvements to further their financial capabilities.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be offered a competitive base salary of circa £31,000 per annum and the opportunity to join a reputable local organisation who view this position as an impactful stepping stone for someone's finance career.
