About the Role:


Our client, a respected provider of residential care for children and young people in Fife, is currently seeking experienced Residential Childcare Workers to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a role that offers both leadership and hands-on care, while making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children. As a Children's support worker, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people in the service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive and supportive relationships with children, helping them navigate daily challenges.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Show a proactive approach in day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Promote respect, dignity, and inclusion across the service.
  • Act as a role model for young people, demonstrating best practice and effective care strategies.
  • Collaborate with external professionals and other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Essential Criteria:


  • Significant experience in residential childcare or a similar care setting.
  • A recognised qualification in Social Care (e.g., SVQ Level 3, HNC) or currently working towards it.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A genuine commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-ins.
  • A good understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
