2020 Recruitment are working with one of our engineering clients who are looking to add experienced Process Operators to their team based near Cupar.

This is initially a 12-week contract, but a permanent position will be offered if this is completed successfully.

Our ideal candidate will have recent production operative experience and have a genuine interest in progressing onto Machine Technical Operator level.

The Role

As the Process Operator you will be responsible for the service and operation of any process within the company.

Hours of work

Monday to Thursday - 08.00am until 18.00pm.

45 minutes official break & 20 minutes unofficial (paid)

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Process Operator your main duties will include:

  • Operate all relevant machinery, tools, and equipment and undertake production tasks safely and accordance with instructions.
  • Operate all processes within section.
  • Understand targets and report to Technician level any issues effecting achievement of these.
  • Complete production activities in order of priority
  • Set up or adjust equipment according to manufacturing specifications. Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard or re-manufacture faulty products
  • Maintain accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analysed.

Requirements

To be considered for the Process Operator you must have the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous production experience
  • Ability to follow strict processes and procedures
  • Ability to read a drawing and use measuring equipment would be an advantage
  • Eager to learn
  • A good awareness of Health and Safety
  • Due to location a drivers licence and own transport would be required

Package

As the Process Operator you will be offered the following:

  • Hourly rate starting at 13.00 depending on experience
  • Permanent contract after 12 weeks
  • Overtime hourly rate x 1.5, x 1.33 and x 2
  • 4 day week
  • Employee Ownership
