We’re looking to recruit a Finance Manager, with commercial acumen, strong knowledge, and excellent communication skills, to join a tight knit finance team working for an organisation in Fife.

Job

The role of Finance Manager will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Preparation of the monthly Management Accounts, including appropriate commentary and analysis, with comparison to budgets and to propose action plans to resolve issues
  • Prepare a weekly 12-week cashflow forecast with commentary
  • Investigate operational variances to budget/forecast, working closely with other members of management to provide support and financial clarity on business performance
  • Production of KPI reports to promote efficiency improvements across the business
  • Working with the Commercial Manager to ensure the standard costs databases are kept up to date to allow accurate gross profit reporting along with purchase price variance visibility
  • Management of all stock reporting processes
  • To ensure that the HMRC VAT return is reviewed approved and submitted on a monthly basis
  • Participation in the annual budget process and to challenge budget holders on financial performance
  • Challenge management decisions to ensure financial implications are appropriately considered
  • Assist the Head of Finance in developing a 'finance for non-finance’ attitude to reporting and communicating with other business functions
  • Ensure the company complies with all financial statutory requirements, i.e., Companies House, HMRC etc
  • Ensure the company complies with all business legal and statutory requirements
  • Ensuring the financial records of the company are maintained in line with internal and external requirements

You

As Finance Manager you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

  • Either Part Qualified, Qualified or Qualified by experience
  • Good technical accounting knowledge
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Sage Pro 50 / Sage Payroll experience
  • Exceptional analytical skills and an ability to review the effectiveness of finance processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Well organised, delivery focused and able to work on own initiative
