Job description

First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Manager to join an established and growing company in the Fife region.

  • OT rate of 1.5X

This role will require you to lead and successfully deliver product introduction and continuous improvement projects, that optimise and enhance commercial success for the business and provide the greatest satisfaction to customers.

Main Duties:

  • Maintaining the QMS including processes, procedures, records and associated controlled documentation
  • Quality meetings - quarterly (leading and documenting)
  • Maintaining KPIs
  • Reporting on performance of QMS at management review
  • Liaising with accreditation bodies & auditors
  • Facilitating customer visits & tours
  • Completing pre-assessment questionnaires (quality, environmental, REACH etc.)
  • Customer communications (on site, visiting customer sites, emails & Teams)
  • Employee appraisals and maintaining training requirements
  • Liaising with local schools (apprenticeships)
  • Run & Lead Quality Department with Quality Inspectors reporting into them.
  • Adhering to company processes and working within AS9100D requirements
  • As Quality Manager expected to lead & assist Team with any additional duties (NCRs, process improvement, investigations, etc.)

Essential skills, experience and knowledge:

The successful candidate must:

  • Management & Training of Quality Inspectors (Essential)
  • Experienced Quality Manager within similar Company producing Precision CNC Machined parts.
  • Must be able to follow processes set out by the company/ customers and read technical drawings proficiently (Essential)
  • Must be able to work in a safe manner and proactively identify opportunities for improvement (Essential)
  • Flexible approach to working extra hours, including weekends, when required, with a proactive attitude (Essential)
  • Willing to learn and develop new/ existing skills (Essential)
  • Experience gained from specifically a Machining & Quality background (Essential)
  • CMM programming, operating experience and understanding
