Job description

First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Manual Turner to join an established and growing company in the Fife region. Our client is an international defence manufacturer.

What's on Offer:

  • Temp (probation) to perm after 12 weeks
  • Paying £18 per hour while under temp (probation) through agency
  • Paying circa £16 per hour once permanent
  • 39hr work week
  • 4.5 day work week
  • 7am to 4pm Mon to Thurs and 7am to 1pm Fri
  • OT 1.5x

This role will report directly to the Workshop Manager, manufacturing defence based components.

Duties will involve the following:

  • manual turning of components in the workshop
  • reading design and assembly drawings
  • making use of power tools

Essential skills, experience and knowledge:

The successful candidate must have:

  • experience of manual turning and lathe operation
  • experience operating in a workshop environment
  • experience of reading engineering drawings
