First Achieve's Engineering Division is seeking a Manual Turner for an established international defence manufacturer in the Fife region.
The role offers a temporary position at £18 per hour for the first 12 weeks, transitioning to approximately £16 per hour once permanent.
Candidates must have experience in manual turning and lathe operation, as well as the ability to read engineering drawings.
The job entails a 39-hour work week with a schedule of 7am to 4pm from Monday to Thursday and 7am to 1pm on Friday, with overtime paid at 1.5x.

Job description

First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Manual Turner to join an established and growing company in the Fife region. Our client is an international defence manufacturer.

What's on Offer:

Temp (probation) to perm after 12 weeks
Paying £18 per hour while under temp (probation) through agency
Paying circa £16 per hour once permanent
39hr work week
4.5 day work week
7am to 4pm Mon to Thurs and 7am to 1pm Fri
OT 1.5x

This role will report directly to the Workshop Manager, manufacturing defence based components.

Duties will involve the following:

manual turning of components in the workshop
reading design and assembly drawings
making use of power tools

Essential skills, experience and knowledge:

The successful candidate must have:

experience of manual turning and lathe operation
experience operating in a workshop environment
experience of reading engineering drawings
