We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer for a vital role within our Procurement & Supply Chain department . The successful candidate will ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services necessary for our manufacturing operations and a strong understanding of working to ISO quality standards and IPC standards.

Description
As a Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the supply chain function and ensuring a smooth flow of materials to meet production demands. Your responsibilities will include:
- Translating MRP outputs into accurate and timely supplier orders, while considering lead times and inventory targets.
- Ensuring on-time supplier deliveries through effective expediting and proactive communication.
- Identifying and communicating material shortage risks across the business to minimise disruption.
- Maintaining accurate ERP data for all assigned parts, including planning parameters, lead times, and cost data.
- Monitoring goods received to ensure suppliers adhere to delivery schedules and avoid early shipments.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers/customers.
- Managing inventory levels in line with business targets, identifying opportunities to reduce excess stock and obsolescence.
- Leading and contributing to departmental and customer projects focused on continuous improvement.
Profile
A successful candidate should have:
- Adhere to the company's Health & Safety policy and the BSEN ISO 18001 H&S Management System.
- Uphold the company's Quality Policy and ISO 9001 Quality Management System at all times.
- Support the company's commitment to sustainability by following the Environmental Policy and BSEN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Generate and analyse procurement and supply chain reports, metrics, and KPIs to provide valuable insights that support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
