We are actively looking for Production Operatives to join our client in Witney.

This opportunity would suit experienced Production Operatives, who are either looking for a temporary placement, or long-term permanent contract.

Our client boasts attractive set hours, with flexibility as required.

Key Responsibilities for Production Operative:

  • Oversee day-to-day factory planning across all shifts, ensuring adherence to production plans.
  • Deliver production targets in:
  1. Output levels (efficiency & utilisation)
  2. Quality control
  3. Health & Safety compliance (including employee welfare)
  4. On Time in Full delivery
  • Identify and mitigate risks, reporting proactively to the Head of Manufacturing
  • Foster a safety-focused culture, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Continuously seek improvements in factory efficiency and processes.
  • Align employee resources with short and long-term production plans.
  • Build effective working relationships across departments to maximise productivity.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental practices in manufacturing.
  • Experience in production and resource planning.
  • Timber frame manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (IFS preferred).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Understanding and experience of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S and Continuous Improvement.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems in manufacturing.

Working Hours

  • This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday), with flexibility for part-time hours, including shorter days or fewer working days per week.
