About the Opportunity

Are you currently at university studying a scientific or engineering related discipline? Are you looking for a summer placement to give you some exposure in industry to add to your CV? We are recruiting for 3x Summer Students to join our client on a placement as Associate Project Engineers! This is open to any level, including those in their first, second & final year.

This opportunity will be a contract position for up to 12 weeks across the summer, working for our client based in Witney. You will join the engineering team in the diabetes care space, supporting providing accurate results faster, to more people, and with greater convenience, so people who have to monitor their glucose levels can do so with minimal pain or disruption.

You will be contracted to work 40 hours per week Mon-Fri. Experience in industry on your CV will make you stand out from the crowd after graduating!

Responsibilities:

  • To provide support and assistance with Engineering and/or Systems projects, documentation and other activities in compliance with site, corporate and external regulatory requirements
  • To be a part of a highly-skilled team delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges in a highly automated manufacturing process
  • Responsible for working within the Operations Engineering team providing support to senior engineers on projects and tasks within agreed constraints of time, cost and quality
  • Contribute to the development and validation of software applications
  • To ensure that system changes are introduced according to the required standards and procedures with appropriate use of the Software Life Cycle (SLC) and change control processes
  • To assist with validation and operation of production equipment, proposing solutions to issues as they arise, implementing and documenting under supervision
  • Work could include running trials on manufacturing equipment, creating models, collecting and analysing data and writing reports
  • All documentation must be completed in compliance with site, corporate and external regulatory requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • This role covers a range of engineering disciplines, so we are looking for someone who is willing to be a part of a highly-skilled team delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges in a highly-automated manufacturing process
  • As a minimum, you must currently be enrolled at a university within a scientific or engineering related field
