STOCK CONTROL MANAGER

MONDAY - FRIDAY:

£40,000 - £45,000 PER ANNUM

People Solutions have a superb opportunity for an experienced Stock Controller to join our client based on Edinburgh who, due to growth are seeking a Stock Control Manager to join their vibrant team.

This is a permanent opportunity offering a salary up to £45,000, with additional benefits.

Day to Day Duties

  • We are seeking an experienced individual to support stock management activities across retail stores and warehouse
  • The ideal candidate shall set up procedures to review and develop current processes and systems
  • Conducting regular stock takes, working closely with store teams to ensure full understanding of systems operation and accurate inventory counts
  • Assisting in identifying and resolving stock-related discrepancies
  • Scheduling the stocktakes for all entities and associated shops / warehouses on a six-monthly rolling basis in line with year-end audit requirements where appropriate
  • Liaising with Area and Store Managers to plan appropriate staffing levels to assist with stock takes and provide necessary training
  • Overseeing and participating in physical stocktakes, analysing results, addressing variances and updating stock system as appropriate
  • Reporting any concerning findings to Head of Finance and other stakeholders as necessary
  • Ongoing review of internal process and data from cradle to grave
  • Working with stakeholders to develop more effective processes
  • Investigating any discrepancies and neutralising the cause(s) as appropriate
  • Ongoing training of staff to ensure systems and processes are being used employed properly

Essential Skills

  • In depth knowledge of multi-site stock management software such as Fashion Master
  • Familiarity with retail stock-taking devices
  • Full understanding of product cycle including process, controls and associated documentation requirements
  • Considerable experience in using all mainstream Microsoft products but particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Desirable Experience

  • Large multi-site retail: two years preferred
  • Stocktaking: two years preferred
