Electronics Test Engineer duties will include:

  • Supporting the manufacturing processes with technical advice and guidance
  • Developing new and improving existing test methods
  • Supervising a small team of test technicians providing technical input as required
  • Overseeing a repair function supporting their workload and responding to any technical queries
  • Working closely with the design and NPI functions to determine testing methods as required
  • Collation and interpreting of test data to provide guidance and feedback on root cause of quality issues.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in test processes
  • Liaising with various departments internally to ensure smooth introduction of new products.

What you will need:

  • Experience in an electronics test focused role in manufacturing.
  • A relevant HND, HNC, etc. level qualification.
  • Experience of being able to debug and fault find to board level
  • IPC-A-610qualification
  • Good knowledge of circuit diagrams

What you will receive:

A salary of £40,000-£45,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, etc.

The working hours

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-12:30pm on a Friday. The company do offer some flexibility around this to start and finish a little earlier or later if it suits the person.
