Role: Contract Surveyor
Salary: 39,000
Location: Newport
Responsibilities of the Contract Surveyor:
- Undertake building condition surveys, environmental surveys, and schedules of dilapidations. Identify and diagnose defects and provide accurate cost-effective solutions to protect the longevity of all assets.
- Prepare accurate survey reports, specifications, estimated and quantified schedules of work, scaled drawings, plans for tender documentation, quotation requests and minor work orders.
- Commission specialist surveys and obtain relevant documentation to enable projects to start on site.
- Carry out compliance surveys for Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS), Housing Health and Safety Rating Scheme (HHSRS)

Qualifications needed for the Contract Surveyor:
- SMSTS or equivalent
- Asbestos awareness and non-licensable works (Cat B)
- First Aid at Work IOSH
- Degree, HNC in Building Surveying, Building Construction or building related discipline.
