We are looking for a Lead Stress Engineer F/M/D for Safran Seats in Cwmbran (Wales), the purpose of this position is to lead a stress team and the program they work on monitoring the evaluation cost, planning and allocation of the workload, reviewing, evaluating and maintaining technical excellence

Description

Your missions as a Lead Stress Engineer F/M/D :

  • Manage of team of highly technically trained stress engineers to ensure tasks are completed to requirements, of time, cost and quality
  • Be able to thoroughly plan and manage all stress activities for a specific program.
  • Ensure that the risk of a certification test failure is managed effectively and minimizes with the use of appropriate analytical methods and judgement.
  • Review and approve hand calculations, linear static, non-linear, crash, multi-body dynamic and optimization FE models for seating products to support the design and certification process, plus the in-service life of the product.
  • Review and approve stress and structural documentation to submit for internal/external customers and regulatory approval.
  • Review and approve drawings, designs, concessions and repairs with respect to stress.
  • Support the Design team in ensuring that products meet cost and weight targets

Profile

We are looking for a candidate who have a background in our industry and with experience knowledge of Aerospace regulations. Although, we can be interested in profile with experiences in seating or interior design (car/aircraft/etc.).

He or She will have work with methods such has 8D/Ishikawa. In the previous experience, the candidate will have plan and manage all stress activities for a specific program
