Project Engineer
Location: Newport
Salary: 6-month contract upto £400 per day
Shift: Days
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team within a leading industrial processing business. In this role, you will manage and support a range of engineering projects across our Group's sites, from conception through to handover.
Key Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:
- Oversee site-based projects involving plant equipment and infrastructure
- Supervise contractors, ensuring strict adherence to HSEQ and site management systems.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to coordinate installations with minimal downtime.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and documentation.
- Conduct technical reviews, design assessments, and HAZOPs.
- Represent the company at meetings, events, and external site visits.
- Chair project meetings and build effective relationships across Group functions.
Skills required for the Project Engineer:
- Proven experience managing diverse engineering projects.
- Degree in Engineering/Project Management.
- Strong technical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage contractors, budgets, and timelines effectively.
