Patient Pathway Coordinator, temp for 9-12 weeks, £12.13 plus holiday pay, Wales

Val Wade Recruitment is seeking an Administrator with excellent telephone skills to join this NHS organisation. The successful candidate will handle call for the Regional Service for outpatient and inpatient services, ensuring all appointments are booked correctly and efficiently in a timely manner in accordance with Health Board Policies. This is a temporary booking for 9-12 weeks.

Responsibilities will include:

  • booking appointments in line with set criteria ensuring that all protocols are adhered to
  • updating waiting list entries in line with departmental standards
  • receiving, processing and documenting referrals within agreed time scales ensuring action is taken regarding urgent referrals in line with speciality requirements
  • sending acknowledgement and confirmation letters
  • answer telephone enquiries in a timely and efficient manner

Skills needed:

  • administration and good keyboard skills
  • good IT skills including Word and Excel
  • good communication skills with a polite and professional telephone manner
  • it would be an advantage if you have worked with Medical Records previously and have an understanding of the Welsh language
