The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Reception and Nursery teachers to support the learning and development of our early years pupils. This role is essential in creating a positive and engaging learning environment, helping children to build strong foundations for their future education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
  • Supporting individual children and small groups with their learning, ensuring all pupils are included and able to progress.
  • Helping to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Observing and assessing children's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a tidy, organized learning space.
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to support children's well-being and development.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Proven school-based experience, particularly in a Reception or Nursery setting.
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to undertake relevant training.
