A Specialist SEND School located in Dagenham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a supportive and dynamic environment and is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and group support to students with SEND needs.
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) to support the learning of children with SEND.
Work closely with other professionals, including speech therapists and educational psychologists.

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant, either in a mainstream school or a SEND provision.
Strong understanding of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
