Pertemps are excited to be working with a top Automotive manufacturer. They are seeking skilled Automotive Polishers to join the team. This role requires solid expertise in sanding materials, polishing processes.

Salary:£31,000 (DOE) + 15% shift allowance
Shift Pattern:Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm (subject to business needs)
Location:Dagenham, London

Responsibilities
  • Operate machine polishers and perform detailed hand polishing as required.
  • Adhere to and suggest improvements in established processes, enhancing overall product quality.
  • ensure deadlines are met to support high productivity.
  • Comply with our client's Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Collaborate closely with the paint department to troubleshoot and resolve any quality issues.
  • Complete all required documentation in line with build instructions.
  • Proactively identify potential obstacles, offering solutions and implementing long-term fixes alongside the team.
  • Undertake additional tasks as requested by management.

Key Skills and Experience
  • Strong background in quality improvement and continuous improvement practices.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Proven experience with paint defect correction, paint thickness measurement, and finishing techniques; automotive trade certification in machine polishing or detailing is preferred.
  • A positive, proactive approach and effective teamwork skills.
