Are you a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you have experience in planning and scheduling new works jobs? Our client, a leading facilities company, is seeking a talented New Works Planner/Scheduler to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing various aspects of new works projects, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion.

Duties

  • Planning new works jobs, including liaising with clients, sites, and suppliers to ensure all necessary resources are available
  • Ordering parts and plant as needed to support project requirements
  • Ensuring sites are prepared and ready for installations, coordinating with engineers and other relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the factory to ensure the products are prepared and ready
  • Arranging deliveries and coordinating transportation logistics
  • Creating comprehensive job packs and RAMs (Risk Assessment and Method Statements) tailored to each specific project
  • Sending O&M (Operations and Maintenance) manuals and commissioning certificates upon project completion
  • Signing off on invoices for parts, plant, and maintenance visits
  • Checking completed maintenance tasks and preparing them for invoicing
  • Providing support and covering other positions on the Helpdesk as needed

The ideal candidate

  • Previous experience in planning and scheduling new works jobs
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, sites, and suppliers
  • Proven ability to coordinate diverse teams and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Attention to detail and ability to spot potential issues or delays in advance
  • Proficiency in using job management software and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work efficiently under pressure
