We are looking for a lead maintenance engineer to join our team of hardworking engineers. Our turnover is over £55 million a year, establishing the success the business has.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the shift maintenance team, delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance across all operational equipment and infrastructure
  • Carry out, complete, and sign off planned maintenance and ensure timely completion across the team.
  • Drive site performance by reducing downtime, improving reliability, and leading improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with external contractors for maintenance tasks, checking RAMS, issuing permits to work, and ensuring safe practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments for all maintenance and unplanned work.
  • Ensure maintenance staff maintain tools and workspaces to a high standard.
  • Work closely with the SHEQ team to resolve H&S, environmental and compliance issues.
  • Maintain logs, check sheets and ensure all compliance records are correctly filled.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and attend relevant training.
  • Any other duties reasonably requested by the management team.

 

Experience and Qualification:

  • Experience in a team leader or supervisory role.
  • Multi-skilled or mechanically biased
  • NVQ3 minimum mechanical engineering
  • Time served engineer
