**Job Responsibilities:**
- Work closely with the lead classroom teacher to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEP) for students with varying degrees of complexity in their needs.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, focusing on areas such as academic skills, social integration, behaviour management, and personal development.
- Assist in the creation and adaptation of learning materials to make them accessible and engaging for students with complex needs.
- Monitor and record student progress, ensuring regular communication with teachers, parents, and relevant professionals regarding student development and any concerns that may arise.
- Manage behavioural episodes in a calm and effective manner, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
- Support students with physical needs, including mobility, personal care, and the use of specialized equipment, as required.
- Participate in training and professional development sessions to enhance skills related to supporting students with complex needs.
**Essential Qualifications:**
- Proven experience working with children or young people with complex needs, particularly in a secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of various learning difficulties and disabilities and the strategies required to support them.
- Excellent behaviour management skills and resilience to handle challenging situations.
