We seek a Lead Youth Worker to mentor young people at risk of serious youth violence through 1-to-1 support, workshops, and community activities.This role will cover community, outreach, and residential works across Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, and Thurrock. You will be leading a team of 2-3 Youth Workers. Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor young people and encourage positive choices.
  • Develop workshops, after-school clubs, and holiday programs.
  • Build strong relationships within schools and communities.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
  • Lead a team of Youth Workers.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Youth Work qualification (or equivalent) with Level 2 English.
  • Two years' experience working with at-risk youth in a full-time role.
  • Experience in mentoring, safeguarding, and youth engagement.
  • Strong relationship-building and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Driving license and access to a car.
