About Us:

We are working with a welcoming, friendly and vibrant school located in Dagenham who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you would be supporting pupils in the Additional Resource Provision (ARP) with Autism Spectrum Conditions. The school creates an environment that is purposeful, engaging and inclusive for all their children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting small groups of pupils with the ARP
  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • Ensure all children in the ARP are fully included
  • Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience: Previous experience working within an ARP
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of supporting pupils with Autism
  • Desirable: Experience working with children with SEN
