Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Dagenham
Payscale: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: 8:30-3:30
Contract: Long-term to Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our primary school team in Dagenham, providing vital support across all year groups. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing therapy programs tailored to students' individual communication needs, enabling them to reach their full potential in a nurturing educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and create individualized therapy plans for students with speech and language needs.
  • Deliver targeted interventions across all year groups, both individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and SEN staff to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to maximize effectiveness.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on supporting students' communication needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of communication disorders and therapy interventions suitable for primary-age children.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a commitment to fostering each student's development.
