  • We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist for a Special Needs school in Barking & Dagenham.
  • The position requires experience in the UK as a Speech and Language Therapist and registration with HCPC.
  • Candidates should have experience working with Complex Learning Disabilities, preferably in an educational setting.
  • The role is a long-term part-time contract, covering maternity leave, requiring up to 3 days of work per week.
  • Salary will be dependent on experience, and candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

We are currently on the look our for a Speech and Language Therapist to work with a Special needs school based in the Barking & Dagenham area:

As a SALT you will be responsible for the below:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine pupils' speech and language needs.
  • Identify areas of difficulty and develop individualized therapy plans to address communication challenges.
  • Provide direct therapy services to pupils, both individually and in group settings, to support the development of speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Implement evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to meet the specific needs of each pupil.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the pupils' educational plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on implementing communication strategies and facilitating language development within the school environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress through ongoing assessment and data collection.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and pupil outcomes.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

This role will be a long term contract covering matternity leave and We are needing someone who can work part time (Up to 3 Days a week) Pay rate will depend on experience:

Must have:

  • Experience in the UK as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • HCPC Registered
  • Experience working in Complex Learning Disablities as a SALTpreferably in a School or Education setting
  • Bachelors/ Masters Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
