Youth Mentor | Dagenham, Essex

This Alternative Provision located in the Borough of Dagenham is looking for the perfect hard-working, resilient graduate to join their exceptional team! As a Youth Mentor, you will be working alongside pupils with complex behavioural needs who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support with their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom. This is a full time, long-term post, commencing ASAP.

** This is an ideal position for a Psychology/Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor, Youth Mentor amongst others. **

  • Full-time, long term position starting ASAP.
  • Located in the Borough of Dagenham.

Youth Mentor - Candidate Specification:

  • A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University - ideal not essential.
  • Genuine interest working with SEN.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt.
  • Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN/SEMH is desirable.
  • Calm and compassionate nature.
