Temporary Finance Administrator Starting: ASAP End date: End of MarchHours: The client is open to full or part time hours (min 22.5) & this is a hybrid role (1 day required to be in the office)Salary: £14.00Based: Dalkeith

We are looking for a detail oriented Finance Administrator to support our clients finance team during their busy end of financial year period.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operate cloud-based accounting package (Xero) and online banking system
  • Processing all Xero data and relevant paperwork
  • Maintain petty cash system and reconcile all bank accounts
  • Post all month end journals including depreciation, accruals and prepayments
  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Upload pension's data to pension provider
  • Prepare and send out remittance advices as required
  • Prepare and issue cheques and invoices, ensuring they are sent out timeously
  • Credit control management
  • Liaise with the Treasurer and Chief Executive to ensure the smooth running of the organisation's financial operations
  • Prepare management accounts for previous quarter
  • Prepare financial statements for annual audit, liaising with accountants and auditors
  • Attend Board meetings as required
  • Process membership applications and subscription renewals

MUST HAVE:

  • Provide accurate accounting and financial services to the organisation and establish and maintain an effective working relationship with clients and colleagues.
  • Be able to communicate with a wide variety of people of diverse backgrounds in an efficient and friendly fashion is of paramount importance, as is a degree of flexibility which will permit the postholder to react competently to the extremely varied and often unexpected issues which arise on a daily basis in a charity
  • Ability to create, analyse and present financial data/reports.
  • Good level of information and communication technology skills in Microsoft 365.
