Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing and engineering sector, is currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Planner to join their team in Dalry on a permanent basis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce all necessary programmes at the appropriate times to reflect the overall contract requirements.
  • Monitor and update all programmes by relevant discussion with all relevant parties.
  • Predict and communicate critical path deviations to enable management to take corrective action.
  • Optimise the use of approved computer software packages to ensure accountabilities are met.
  • Incorporate emergent works effectively into existing programmes.
  • Attend weekly schedule performance meetings with the team and track against KPIs.
  • Report progress against programme on a regular basis.


Key Competencies:

  • Ability to produce a feasible programme of activities from a given scope of work.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with all relevant parties to report accurate contract status.
  • Ability to anticipate and highlight critical programme areas for management action.
  • Fluency in Excel to provide prompt accurate and regular information.
  • Awareness of the technical implications and interfaces to be able to programme work effectively.
  • Provide accurate labour forecasts and identify risks to contract.
  • Ability to provide clear and consistent data reporting to senior management.
  • Awareness of the impact of planning on safety, quality, and cost considerations.


Key Duties:

  • Produce programme of works and schedule for craftworkers.
  • Plan electrical work in adherence with required timescales.
  • Manage and schedule remedial works within the agreed timeframe as per site procedures.
  • Programme report to client/management.
  • Anticipate problem areas regarding critical paths and advise remedial action.
  • Development and communication of resource and equipment requirements.
  • Prepare work packs with detailed information of task and write permit to work.
  • Arrange for access solutions where required for tasks and liaise with other trade supervisors.


Experience:

  • Experience in Maintenance Planning Engineer roles.
  • Experience in Petrochemical, Power, and Process Industry Sectors.
  • Previous experience working in electrical roles in the above industries.
  • Experience in leading, motivating, and performance management.
  • Experience of working in a high-pressure, multi-deliverable environment.
  • Ability to drive and implement change and continuous improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within a Maintenance environment.
  • APMP Practitioner.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel.
  • Experience working with MMS systems - SAP (desired but not essential).
  • Electrical background with appropriate qualifications (HNC or time served).
