Our Client requires an Architectural & Building Finishes Construction Supervisor to work on a contract basis in Dalry, Scotland.

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to oversee the architectural and finishing works on a significant Life Science construction project in Scotland. This role requires on-site supervision to coordinate trades, ensure compliance with project specifications, and uphold high standards of quality throughout the construction process.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Supervision: Manage daily operations of architectural and finishes works, ensuring adherence to project schedules and safety standards.
  • Coordination: Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams for timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections, verifying work meets design specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work progress, change orders, and daily reports; ensure all documentation is up to date.
  • Problem-Solving: Address on-site issues and liaise with project management as necessary.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and conduct safety meetings and training.
  • Schedule Management: Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, providing updates and identifying any potential delays.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

  • Education: HNC, HND, or equivalent experience in Building and Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Significant background in construction supervision, with a focus on architectural finishes and related trades.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural plans, specifications, and construction methods.
  • Additional Requirements: Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays as per project demands, and the ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug screening.
