Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor - 20-Week Solar Farm Project in Glasgow
Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for an exciting 20-week project in Glasgow. This is an opportunity to work on the installation of a cutting-edge solar farm under a Design & Build (D&B) contract. With a team of up to 20 professionals on-site at any given time, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the project's success.
Role Details:
- Duration: 20 weeks
- Location: Glasgow, Scotland
- Contract Type: Design & Build (D&B)
- Day Rate: 350 - 400 per day, paid weekly
- Parking: Available on-site
- Office: On-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with the budget.
- Valuation: Prepare and submit regular valuations for payment applications.
- Procurement: Manage procurement processes, including negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the project.
- Contract Administration: Oversee all contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Change Management: Assess and manage changes in project scope, including the preparation of variation orders.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on project progress, financial status, and any issues that arise.
- Client Liaison: Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and the on-site team to ensure smooth project delivery.
