Tradewind are recruiting! Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Dalton-in-Furness?

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a hardworking and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a popular supportive Secondary School based in Dalton-in-Furness. They are looking for a 1-1Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. You will be providing 1-1 support for a pupil in Yr 11. The role is to start as soon as possible and is long term.

The Secondary school supports children from 11 - 16 year old's, this role is to support 1-1 basis in the main classroom with a wide range of additional needs including, ASD (Autism) and ADHD. You will need previous experience dealing with understanding ADHD and de-escalation.

They are looking for a 1-1 Teaching Assistant who has experience working with Secondary Schools and who has supported children with additional learning needs.

This a a full time position Monday to Friday long term.

Essential requirements:

Have excellent communication and behaviour management techniques

Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour

Excellent interpersonal skills based on effective communication

An awareness of their own strengths and areas for development and a willingness to listen to, reflect constructively and ac upon, as appropriate, feedback from others
