Accounts Payable Analyst
Location: Darlington (Hybrid)
Contract Type: Full-time, 6-Month Contract (Potential for Extension or Permanent Placement)
Pay Rate: 17.00 per hour (PAYE)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in Darlington on a hybrid working basis. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a solid background in finance or accounts payable and experience in a Shared Business Service environment.
You will work onsite for three days per week, with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining days. This position offers the chance to make an immediate impact and contribute to enhancing key processes, with potential for long-term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the Accounts Payable function and related processes.
- Monitor and analyse data to identify trends and issues.
- Present data and insights to stakeholders, ensuring clarity, precision, and actionable value.
- Develop and improve metrics, reports, and processes, including maintaining associated Excel macros.
- Perform supplier reconciliations within deadlines.
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in projects, including process improvements, testing, migrations, and system implementations.
- Handle complex queries from internal teams and suppliers.
- Maintain compliance with SOx documentation, global setups, and reporting standards.
- Ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and targets are met.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Accounts Payable role.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with end-to-end order-to-pay processes.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, with knowledge of Power BI and automation preferred.
- Experience with Oracle systems and Shared Business Services.
- Strong numerical skills and business process understanding.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- English and Math to GCSE level (or equivalent).
- Administration experience.
