Reed Business Support are currently working with an organisation on the outskirts of Darlington who are looking for an experienced Finance and Administration Manager to oversee office management, finance, general and sales administration, among other duties. This role is ideal for someone with a background in bookkeeping and administration, looking to grow with the business and manage a range of critical operational tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Maintain both electronic and manual filing systems within the office.
  • Manage all office and administrative procedures.
  • Undertake all bookkeeping and finance tasks, as well as daily business-related tasks.
  • Handle sales administration and assist with various marketing initiatives, including contacting potential clients and collaborating with the marketing team.
  • Address incoming parts, service, and sales enquiries both by phone and at reception, directing them accordingly.
  • Update and maintain Health and Safety Records.
  • Serve customers with spare parts using a dealer management system (training will be provided).
  • Implement office practices and procedures in processing and recording accounting transactions.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post, emails, scanning, and filing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience and qualifications in bookkeeping, finance, and administration.
  • Experience with Xero is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and team skills with an understanding of the importance of customer service.
  • Capability to deliver accurate, high-quality work and reports to tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
