Estimator

Location: Darlington,North Yorkshire

The role

Work as part of the Estimating function to assess suitability of tender enquiries received.

Assess material, labour and equipment required for a specific project, analysing various quotes from our supply chain.

Manage the process of compiling, reviewing and submitting budgets.

Compile project estimates for structural steelwork and relevant sub-contract works in a timely and efficient manner.

Co-ordinate technical stakeholders (internal and external) to assist in the preparation of the most competitive quotations.

Work closely with clients and main contractors, building relationships with Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, Designers and other third parties.

Use bespoke systems to manage and create estimates and track project updates and follow ups.

Upon successful award of a contract, organise and lead the internal Contract Award meeting.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role within the Construction industry.
