Regional Operations Manager | Elderly Care

Remit:

Compass Associates have been mandated to source a Regional Operations Manager for a care provider in the North East, with a view to supporting a remit of care homes operationally to ensure high standards of care for elderly people. The group currently operate a remit of care homes across the North and pride themselves on being a value-based provider who empower their staff and the vulnerable people they look after.

The purpose of the role is to support overall day to day operations of the remit through the organisational strategies and to support, mentor and guide Home Manager to drive KPI's to deliver on providing high quality care.

Key points

  • Will be expected to be visible across all care homes within the remit
  • Candidate must have expert CQC knowledge and the confidence to manage a team of Registered Managers
  • Must act as a support system and mentor for Registered Managers
  • Drive KPI's and overall performance
  • Must have current Operational experience within the care home sector
  • Must be commercially savvy and understand the dynamic of being a successful Operations Manager

As the Regional Operations Manager you will be expected to drive performance around delivery of quality care, governance, staffing, recruitment, occupancy, promoting excellence etc. It's important you're able to recognise indicators of poor performance and act quickly to remedy them as well as work systematically with Registered Managers to develop and deliver each Care Homes business plan.

Requirements

  • Experience working as an Multi site or Regional Operations Manager within the social care sector
  • RMA level 4 / NVQ level 5 Management
  • Good relationship management skills
  • Exposure to and compliant with CQC
  • Passion for the care of elderly people (essential)

Location

This role is to cover care homes across North East, England. This role is commutable from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Sunderland, Middlesborough, Stockton on Tees, Darlington, Durham, Seaham & Hartlepool.

Interview Process

The interview process will be in a two stage format.

  • Stage One - Teams (informal interview)
  • Stage Two - F2F (formal interview)
