The Michael Page public sector finance team are in search of a skilled Finance Manager to join a successful team to take responsibility for the planning and reporting of the company's financial position, reporting to the Financial Controller.

Description

  • Lead the Accounting & Finance department, ensuring all financial reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and regular forecasting exercises.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial procedures.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team to foster their professional growth.
  • Work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial advice.
  • Communicate financial information to non-financial managers within the company.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the finance function.

Profile

The successful Finance Manager should :

  • Be a fully qualified chartered accountant (CIMA, CIPFA, ACA or ACCA) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Have experience of managing a finance team - Advanced Microsoft Excel financial modelling skills are essential.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify key insights.
  • Have solid understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and valuation techniques.
