Pay Rate: £12.95 per hour, 40 hours per week

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Transport Operator to join our client's transport team at the Faverdale Industrial Estate in Darlington. In this dynamic role, you will be an integral part of our clients logistics operations, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct full briefings and debriefings of driving teams to communicate vital information and capture feedback.
• Prepare store bags and update store instructions.
• Communicate effectively with all required departments and support functions.
• Ensure vehicles and trailers are road legal by adhering to site defect processes.
• Provide first-line contact for driving teams in case of delivery queries, breakdowns, or emergency incidents.
• Engage with maintenance and breakdown services to assist with breakdowns and recoveries.
• Act as the first point of contact for stores regarding schedule changes, delays, and failures.
• Support other transport functions and provide cover during holidays and absences.
