Job Title: Business Development Manager – Door Entry Security Systems

Area to be covered: North East, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire
Remuneration: £40,000 + £7,500 Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Door Entry Security Systems will involve:
- Field sales role predominantly selling a high quality high tech range of manufactured door entry and access control systems, but also CCTV and home automation
- Majority of your time selling through security distribution partners (8 main partners nationally) circa 25-30 spending account on this area
- Lesser amount of time selling direct into some security contractors/ installers
- Focus on private residential projects such as larger apartment blocks, student accommodation, luxury apartments etc.
- Approximate 50:50 split between managing and expanding existing accounts and generating new business
- Revenue target £500,000
- Typically 4 days per week on the road (9-12 appointments per week), one day working from home/ administration
- Supported by dedicated specification field sales team and internal sales support
- Dealing with order values that can range from as small as £2,000 up to £50k for a large order
- Updating the companies CRM system
The ideal applicant will be an Area Manager – Door Entry Security Systems with:
- Demonstrable field sales track record with the security industry
- Experience selling door entry is ideal but not essential
- Open to distribution or contractor led customer experience
- Open to related security product sales with electrical or engineered products such as: access control, door entry, doors, security glass, automated doors, architectural ironmongery, mechanical security and locks etc.
- Technically savvy with a strong understanding of electrical and engineered solutions
- Capable of managing key relationships with distributors and security contractor/ installers
- Ideally electrical/ engineering qualification or experience previously in a technical role
- Self-motivated, hungry driven and capable of working on own initiative
- Enthusiastic, energetic, resilient and a team player
