Manpower UK are supporting this newly created role within our reputable client working in the water division as a Depot Manager within their Darlington site.

You will lead, manage and run the depot with specific responsibility for the Darlington operations team
Promoting the commercial success of the Darlington depot and wider group. This is a role where your forte is to demonstrate and continuously achieve high levels of commercial performance and service delivery to all customers.

More about the role:

  • Effectively and efficiently manage the Darlington Operations team P&L ensuring that all necessary steps are ticket to maximise revenue while also managing the department costs in line with budget.
  • Manage and maintain the depot and surrounding site to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards, operational functionality, organisation & cleanliness.
  • Ensure that the departmental and depot KPI's are met, to include depot, staff, client & SHEQ compliance.
  • Manage and develop excellent internal and external colleague & customer relations throughout the region, develop new business and maximise all opportunities, expand customer base, maintain regular contact with existing clients in conjunction with the Sales, Commercial & Marketing teams to ensure maximum repeat business and further service provision.
  • Ensure data compliance across various systems, including but not limited to CRM, ERP, Works Management, SHEQ portals as well as client interface.
  • Lead and support the recruitment and retention of operational staff, creating positive environment and being an employer of choice
