Senior Practitioner - Looked After Through Care Team

About the Role:
Randstad is currently recruiting for a Senior Practitioner to join the Looked After Through Care Team in Darlington.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced social worker to take on a leadership role, supporting the care and development of children and young people who are looked after by the local authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance and supervision to a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to looked-after children and young people.
- Manage a caseload of complex cases, offering advanced practice skills and knowledge to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Lead and contribute to the planning and review of care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to meet the individual needs of each child or young person.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, including education, health, and legal services, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, promoting best practices in safeguarding and child protection.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience working with looked-after children and young people, including complex case management..
- In-depth knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and looked-after children legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Commitment to promoting the welfare and development of children and young people.
