GCSE English lecturerPay: £25-£28 per hour depending on experienceLocation: Darlington Job Type: 9-5 Monday-Friday Contract: Immediate start till 20th December, potentially longerWe are seeking a GCSE English lecturer to join our dedicated team. This role involves delivering lesson plans to groups of learners with varying abilities. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and includes desk and preparation time. The role is working in a College environment, delivering GCSE English to students aged 16-19. The students will be undergoing GCSE English re-sits in conjunction with their current College course. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in a group setting.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs and interests of learners.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, progress, and assessments.
  • Participate in curriculum development activities and staff meetings as required.  

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering GCSE level English is essential for this role
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service
