About the opportunity;We are delighted to be working on an exceptional leadership HR Director opportunity with Clive Owen LLP, one of the largest independent firms in the North-East.  Recognised a a 'Great Place to Work' this is an outstanding opportunity to further enhance and drive the people strategy in order to support continued growth of the organisation across the region.With offices across Darlington, Durham, York, Middlesbrough and Newcastle, the HR Director will be based from the Head Office in Darlington and play a key role as an integral part of the Strategic Leadership Team.The HR Director will be a trusted advisor on all people related matters and have a real opportunity to positively influence future strategy with a key focus on driving attraction and retention strategies, ensuring the right people are in the right roles. Key elements of the role include;  
  • A full root and branch review of the existing function, identifying opportunities for improvement and establishing key priorities.
  • Creating and embedding the people strategy across the office network, ensuring consistency and collaboration.
  • Partnering closely with the Strategic Leadership Team, working as a trusted advisor on all people related matters.
  • Creating a market leading talent acquisition strategy to attract the best quality talent across all levels form early careers through to experienced hires.
  • Enhancing the career development framework to establish a robust development programme for aspiring and future leaders.
  • Continue to drive the organisation's ‘Great Place to Work’ accreditation, looking for opportunities to improve.
  • Work closely to with the Partners to develop management and leadership capability across the organisation to drive high performance standards and consistency across the office network.
  • Continually review the reward and benefits offering to ensure a market leading position, taking into account the regional variations.
  • Lead on all change related activity including organisational design and restructuring activities as and when required.
  • Leading on all engagement, DEI and well-being activities to drive a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Leadership of the team, driving high performance standards and engagement across the business.
This role will be based at HQ in Darlington 4 days a week with travel to the offices as and when required.The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;
  • To be successful in this post, you will have a demonstrable track record in people leadership roles and ideally have experience of working in a professional partnership environment or similar financial services organisation. 
  • You may already be leading the way in a number 1 role or may a a strong Head of HR and looking to take on your first HR Director position and lead the function.
  • You will ideally have experience of working across multiple locations and developing a consistent approach across dispersed management teams. 
  • You will be confident and capable of handling challenging stakeholders and building strong relationships.  
  • Strong influencing skills will be extremely important for this person to ensure buy in and credibility with the Partners.
