IT Support Officer – Darlington/Durham

Venn Group’s North East IT team are recruiting for an IT Support Officer to join a busy technical support team at a great organisation!

Location:            Darlington/Durham

Rate:                   £14 – £15 per hour PAYE

Duration:  3 months (potential extension)

Start:                  Immediate

Day to day duties:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT support to customers in an enterprise environment
  • Handle remote support and desktop support tasks
  • Perform printer fixes and image-rebuilds of mobile devices, PCs, and laptops
  • Resolve support tickets at the first point of contact or assign them to the relevant team for completion
  • Monitor the IT Support voice mailbox
  • Prioritise incoming requests, identify trends, and set resolution timescales based on impact and urgency
  • Learn and support current technologies
  • Answer IT support calls and respond to support queries submitted through email and other channels within Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Assist the IT Team Leader in maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Identify and escalate high-priority or urgent issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Responsible for incident and problem management
  • Accurately record customer information to facilitate timely completion of incidents and requests

Desired Skills:

  • Experience providing IT support in an enterprise environment
  • Proficiency in Windows 10, Office 365, Active Directory, Azure platforms, SCCM, and Microsoft packages
  • Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with on-site and remote support tools
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and handle multiple requests simultaneously
